Creavis patents nanoparticles for self-cleaning surfaces Patent No. Europe 1,249,280 A Creavis has been granted a patent for nanoparticles for self-cleaning surfaces with (partially) hydrophobic structure. It is comprised of nanoparticles of a specified size protruding from a matrix, i.e. heat and/or radiation cured coating. (Doped) silicate, metal oxide, silica, metallic powders and/or polymeric (fissured) particles may be used and applied to the wet uncured coating film.
